I have went to several job fairs with United in attendance including last year's WAI (I am a guy and thought it was beneficial...going this year too). Hopefully this is the beginning of continuous hiring...I know...I know...wishful thinking

Only a Part 61/141 IP/LCA but not a Chief, LCA or IP at the 121 level. Personally since I'm a commuter I'm not willing to restrict my time with my wife and kids any more than this job already does. If I lived in domicile or was single I would without a doubt be able to check more boxes. I do realize this will hold be back a bit at first but it shouldn't be long till they start pulling guys like me (I hope).

I'm not female nor a minority but I am a member of OBAP and WIA. Which kills my wife since I'm neither but they are great networking organizations and offer fantastic information as well guidance.

It's all very interesting that's for sure!

I would guess 300 or so emails were sent out to start interviews in March .... classes in April... and in the fall?

The email said clearly "they wanted to speak with you" and "to be patient" ....
... seems good and frankly fortunate for those of us who got one this early on. I am sure they will become more frequent in the near future to many more people.

The next few "weeks/months" will tell.... afterall that is what the email said.
