I had an extremely positive interview experience at UAL. Hr panel was inviting and relaxed in a professional way. TMAAT's were comfortable and positive. Mood was light and affable. Sim went exceptionally well. Outstanding evaluator.

No ghosts in my closet. Clean record. 5 internal with some senior mgt in there.

No thanks a week later.

They have a hard line drawn in the sand in multiple places. I don't know exactly where it is, but there is no crossing it and no way of knowing. Which bar you missed. I left feeling like a million bucks.

The hardest part is not getting the interview in this case. It's wondering how you could've not got the offer when in retrospect you wouldn't have done anything differently. To this day I don't think there was anything else I could've done. I did my part to the best of my ability, it just wasn't what they needed at this time.

Good luck.

Dang. I'm glad all went well, I'm sorry to hear they didn't choose you. Now I'm worried about their criteria for hiring. Possibly they aren't looking for perfect TMAAT or flying skills? I wonder if they are looking of certain emergencies that you might have dealt with and the outcome. It might just be that they are looking for certain personalities.
Did you happen to be a previous inten at either UAL or CAL?

I havent had any real emergencies or crazy things happen in my 7 years as an F/O so I'm going to have to come up with some good stuff from just positive experiences.

Has anyone here had a good feeling about the interview and got the thumbs up?

Don't get down. I know people who interviewed at one airline and got the "no thanks" but then got hired elsewhere.

Did either of you that interviewed do prep? Just wondering if it will help me.

I did, and I am pretty sure he did too.... both preps said I did great.

I obviously did not do the same at the interview, I felt it went well though

12 months and in the mean time I will keep on looking for options.

Ugh. Reading this kills me. I remember doing all this crap as well.
If you get turned down, try and keep your head up and keep your stuff updated EVERYWHERE. I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. I really wish the best for you guys and girls.

Sorry to hear this...did they ask you in the interview if you did any kind of prep?

Totally agree with this! Glad to hear you both have your heads high and are trying to keep it positive.

Got the call from Talent Acq yesterday afternoon.

email 4 Mar, current 121 FO, former Mil EP/IP, Chief Pilot, DO, Masters, 4000 Total, 2000 PIC, 1000 IP, 4 internals.

If you got an email, be patient, it sounds like they will go through the entire list. All others, keep the faith, the need is great.
