That makes sense. I suppose I was looking at it purely from a mil point of view...I've only got about 100 hours piston time, none of it as instructor. Of the 1900 PIC time I have, only 1100 of that is IP/EP time, all turbine.

What's funny are the T-1 FAIPs, they'll en up with around 120 dual hours, maybe 7-10 SIC hours and around 1500 TPIC, all jet, nearly all instructor pilot time.

I have about the same amount of PIC time, but only about 1/3 of the IP time you have. After IP school, I almost immediately got out on the VSP and joined the Guard as a part-timer. I quickly discovered the hours accumulate a lot slower in the Guard, but some of that is by choice.

I was an instructor in helicopters as well. The program doesn't count helicopter time for total hours, but it does total all of your Instructor time.
