It won't let me edit, but I looked back at this and it comes across as whining and that's the last thing I'm doing.
I think the flood gates are getting ready to open, it's just a crack right now, so those of us who haven't heard anything, it's just a matter of time.
Good luck all!!

Congrats on the retirement! I retired last month, it's a good time to do so. Availability may have a bit to do with it, I was available on 10 Jan 2013, but I don't think that's it.
The internal rec angle is huge I'm learning. Knowing who you know is important in the military, that's DEFINITLEY true, but not as important as in the airline industry.
It's true, it's much harder for the fighter guys to rack up the hours. I'm glad United is taking a look at diversity in experience and making decisions not only on flight hours alone. We can't forget that our civilian brethren rack up hours quick, but they put in they're time, sweat and tears (most importantly their wallets!).
Who I really feel bad for are the new pilots coming through UPT, with the move to simulator training, a new guy coming through UPT may not even have ATP hours by the time they finish their commitment!
Good luck! The best part of all this is that guys are getting called! It's good for all of us!

I too feel bad for the Lts at the FTU where I'm teaching. Maybe 1 tour in their MWS and then some horrid RPA job. Morale is at an all time low amongst everyone especially the young guys.

By the way, thank you to everyone posting on here, this is probably the best thread going on the possible hiring at United, keep it coming!
And I agree with the above, thank you to all the military guys for your service.

I was noticing this myself. Wondering if I have a shot at this point being a line guy with about 7,800 TT, 2,000 CRJ PIC, a few internal recs and the Vegas job fair a while back, but no LCA,IP or Evaluator. So far, no email.
