So that being said, if I go under the old CAL contract, the LOA for pay advance states that as a 5 year and up FO ( which I am because of the longevity LOA25) , I should receive $3000 advance...
And yes, quite aware of the timely provisions of lovely LOA 26... Brought that up in the road shows.... ( thus the " NO")

Yes, you absolutely should. File a pay claim to get the process going and call the union office on Wednesday to see if they can push the issue.

I have an email into the JIT also. I will call the office on Wed. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. After re-reading the email sent out by the CAL MEC, I went and looked at the "Expanded Implementation Schedule", and that has item #50 showing 3-I-5 (not 4 like the LOA 26). Hopefully nothing else too important was overlooked in the proof-reading of the LOA references...
Sorry, just had to vent. Just frustrating to hear all the pushing of how much good that will come out of this contract, and out of the gate, something gets tripped up. Let's see if they get my 5 hour "add pay" for training on a holiday (New Years Day) correct like they say they will...

I start class January 15 and emailed Charlie Venema and asked him about the $3000 advance. First he quoted loa 26. Then I asked for clarification and stated since I'm on 5th year longevity at Cal I thought I should get the $3000 advance. He stated I was not a 5 year Cal guy but a "new hire" and as such got $750 for the advance. He stated he would check with the pay guy but don't expect anything to change till May! I hope he's wrong and from what you guys are saying it seems he is wrong and the issue will be fixed by February 1st at the latest. Pure incompetence at its best!!!

Would this apply to your situation? In accordance with LOA 25 and LOA 26, the first longevity bump for furloughed pilots begins with the second bid period after the effective date. So you might not see the $3k until Feb 1.

? Where is that? If you are referencing Item# 10 in LOA 26, I believe that references the current contract, and that is different than LOA #25or TPA, IMHO. I cannot find anything that references why our pay is still $750. Also, heard back from the JIT, as far as 3-I-4. "Good catch!" They also saw the typo, and fixed it before LOA 26 was signed... What else was missed?

I was just fishing for an answer. Thought that might have been it.

We'll just get more on the jan 15th check. Our december pay is $113.80/hr ( blended rate 5 year pay )

Te ualmec update from 12/27 says
"United Furloughees flying at CAL- new pay rates with longevity credit for pay for Dec; expect increase from the 1st year advance of $750 on Jan 1 (worst case Feb 1 if programming not complete)"

Hopefully the programming will be complete on feb 1st...
