I've never understood why the voting participation would ever be less than 100%. Anything less than 95% is just ridiculous.

.....and a true Unionist.

Also a 100% No Voter, for the GOOD of all concerned. It is not all about "me" and what I can "get". We need to think about the big picture and our profession.

My last trip poll was 4 NO votes (All CAL guys) and 12 YES votes (4 CAL and 8 UAL) One of the NO voters told me he voted NO on day 1 of voting without reading the TA, ALPA website, or going to a roadshow. He said "I don't trust this MEC and I won't vote YES on anything they give me."

The other NO voters also had issues like "This TA gives them incentive to park all the narrowbodies and make us fly 90 seat jets now that we have agreed to payrates for them." and "You have no idea what working with CAL management is like". So I'm not sure how going back and changing the contract will make it better for these people.

So to each his own, but I've asked everyone I've talked with and the only thing I've really seen is that the YES voters tend to be not thrilled, but are making a business decision, and the NO voters are VERY emotional. As soon as they start talking about it they raise their voices, talk fast, face turns red, etc. Very ****ed off guys for sure. Not sure they would vote yes for anything, so I didn't bother to argue with them.
