Furloughed UAL folks. We have a law firm very interested.
If this contract passes and the "carve out" longevity for the UAL 99-01 hires stands, we are pressing forward. We have been patient too long.

I think you guys have an honest case. I am not a lawyer. There has never been a time in airline history where a pilot's longevity was backed up. On the other hand, I am assuming you are furloughed right now. Does the union have a duty to represent you while you are furloughed?

I'm not furloughed and apparently NOT represented by UAL or CAL ALPA. Funny, the dues keep flowing out if the check.

I'm still working my way through the TA and I agree there is some troubling language that makes one ask "Why". the sUAL MEC voted overwelmingly for the TA and just maybe it was because of a realization that they have been bargaining at a disadvantage. First, they have that pesky TRO which prevented us from managing this negotiation process the way it has been done in the past AND Second, the sUAL MEC had to deal with a future dance partner who recognized that unless they played hardball, their smaller numbers and career expectation would almost certainly put them at a disadvantage with regard to SLI.

Count me in! This is outrageous! Hired, furloughed, recalled all before this date and then furloughed again! For nothing!!!
