Perhaps one of our MECs will send this back and maybe we will get a better deal, idk. I just hope it doesn't take another YEAR to get er done!

Well I guess that makes two of us who are tired. You are tired of waiting and I'm tired of my wallet having a perpetual hole in it! Inflation since our bankruptcy paycut is 25.8%. I hope you are financially happy living as you did on day one of contract 03. At least you won't be tired.

Default The Hard Sell Begins

The rates are from the "leaked" (though partially confirmed by my MEC Chair) document.
It had DOS (which at this point is irrelevant as we won't possible have a JCBA before 31 Dec 12), 2013-2017 scales.
"Supposedly" it's missing A380 (lol.. Like we're gonna order that *****) and also a small aircraft pays scales.

Personally, before this leak I had numbers in my head for what I'm worth, and what I needed to see to Vote YES (purely on the compensation side of the haus). Those numbers were SLIGHTLY less than Delta's numbers.

But the more I've thought about it, the more I realized- if my CEO is worth more than RA (CEO of DAL), then why should I accept anything less than Delta?! Let alone -$14.33 to -$8.11 (an hour, based on different years).

And there's no way that work rules, B Plan or anything else is gonna be able to make up that difference~
Not to mention a 5 yr deal?!

NOPE

Well fellows, I wrote my reps. Told them to send it back for more RETRO! 400M is not enough!! I hope we don't even get to vote on it.

Motch, I am hearing different rumors about the pay rates, so I'll wait and see. A B-plan could make up the difference quite easily. Another 6% over DAL's would bridge the gap. Don't know if that's the case, we'll wait and see.

Hopefully, if it is as bad as you have heard, the MEC will reject it and we will not see it. Guess we can just wait and see.

For what ever it is worth, I hear the pay rates leaked are correct until the seniority list is integrated. When the company can realize the same integration synergies that Delta currently has the pay rates go to the current Delta pay plus 1.

Geez....everyone has *****ed and moaned (correctly) concerning the slow pace of negotiations. Now that a contract is near, some are already *****ing and moaning WHEN WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IS IN IT!

Shouldn't a little common sense kick in before beating your chest and proposing to vote "no"? An uninformed opinion is usually a poor one.

No. The leaked intel is enough for me..the retro/lump is so terribly disgraceful it should be enough for you to say hell no as well.

I cannot argue that...if it's true. However, what is your game plan if that is the case? It's easy to beat your chest and say "no" but just what is your plan?

Obama isn't going to release us.

Are you planning to walk and shut it down? Personally, I like that idea but there wouldn't be many willing to actually do that.

There are ramifications to voting "no." Especially if you are on the UAL legacy side. The TA expires in March...I'm guessing our CAL brothers aren't too hot to renew it as they are getting all of the new aircraft and most of the bids. Do you think the company would be willing to extend it?

So...once again, what is your plan?

That's a promising sign. Again, it's a matter of waiting this out. It's been 900 plus days, we all need to chill out for another 5 or 6 and see what happens. I still have faith in our JNC until proven otherwise.

I would rather not walk..history shows what happens when you lose control of the throttle quadrant...I firmly believe there is a wet dream contract in Flibs safe above his bed..THEY NEED us to make this work..Flibs even said so
