Our B fund is 16% vs 12% at DAL. I can live with that. But the 400M is a fraction of what we are owed in back pay!!...I want more, and it is a one time payment...meaning UCH can pay it from their 7.4b CASH and it's done. Wages are every month for the duration.

Sled, as an FYI, Delta actually contributes 14% to our 401k/DC plans in 2013, rising to 15% in 2014. So, if your rates are correct (and I have no idea), UAL will be net 4.5% (8.5% in pay minus 4% DC) behind DAL in 2013, and 2% (3% in pay minus 1% DC) total behind DAL in 2014 and beyond.

After all we have been through in the past ten years, are we that battered to accept 8.5% less than DAL as a contract opener? The company offers us 30% in "retro" and we say double it? Pennies on the dollar was agreed to ten years ago in 2003. Do we want to set "pennies on the dollar" as a precedent for contract 2017 in 2020?

I'm battered, but i'm still willing to fight.

I cannot share the excel spreadsheet that has our new rates through 2017 on APC. I do have them. DOS raises for l-UAL range from 18-24% depending on your a/c type (not including the 767-400, which is a 32% increase from our current 75/76 rates). Then 8.5% in 2014, 3% in 2015, 2016, 2017. The DAL rates are on APC.

Heck no. I was an Avv-eee-a-shun major brother. At no time are we DAL "-15" with this contract proposal. Roughly -8.5% in 2013, -3% in 2014 & 2015 not including B-fund contributions. But we have 2 more contractual raises past 2015, therefore, we do eventually exceed Dal in this contract. Our top rate in 2017 is 278/hr. l-UAL rates increase 31-42% depending on a/c type, l-CAL rates increase 17-31%. I am not wetting myself over these rates, but I can live with them.

Thanks. Was not including the DAL 2% 401K match, and I was not aware of the 1% increase.

If we have an mec with a backbone we as a group should not even have to vote on this.

I am tired of waiting. If our negotiators bring us a competive contract, I am going to vote yes. I don't need a contract 2000. I don't want "obscene" (Gordy's word) pay rates. We haven't even looked at scope, work rules, sick leave, ect. Those things cost money too. The Retro IS bs and I said so, but even that is not a kill all to me. Perhaps one of our MECs will send this back and maybe we will get a better deal, idk. I just hope it doesn't take another YEAR to get er done!

Default The Hard Sell Begins

Sled...
I'm currently a 756 FO (LCAL)
5th yr pay- $94.82
Current DAL- $118.38
Diff -$23.56

Next week I go...
6th yr pay- $103.61
Current DAL- $121.35
Diff -$17.74

Jan 2013 is the earliest we'd see new rates.
6th yr JCBA pay- $117.67
Delta pay- $131.66
Diff -$13.99!
(Unknown override)

Nov 2013:
7th yr JCBA pay- $120.96
Delta pay- $135.29
Diff -$14.33!

For yrs 2014-2015 the difference is roughly -$8.50 an hour.

UNACCEPTABLE!

So far, retro/signing bonus = NO
Compensation = NO
Delta Scope for me = NO

Mitch,

That's a grim picture. I have seen the leaked initial pay rates but not the ones going forward from there. Are the rates posted above from a reliable source?
