Charlie stopped by our class today and I asked him that question. Straight from his mouth, he said it was panel interview. 2 pilots and one HR. The interview is guaranteed but the outcome is not. Don't take anything for granted. No technical stuff, just a bunch of TMAAT stories.

You have the latest gouge.......it was stated to us during FAM day that it would be - have a pulse? no DUI's? Want a job? - type interview.

It sounds like it is a full interview without a SIM eval.

I really hope the boys putting together to new program can see beyond the fancy titles and pick the guys that will make an excellent addition to the future of United pilots.

I like where your heads at
Thanks! Just looking back over the horrible grammar though. Time to maybe avoid posting via cell phone?!?

Grammar is nothing when the point of your message is very clear, haha.

Thanks.
I had a United class date scheduled for the middle of April, 2008. It was rescinded exactly two weeks before class was to start.

The "gist" of the letter: Continental side is hiring because they anticipate needing more pilots than will accept recall from the United side. They expect classes as early as November, and folks who had class dates but never started are being invited to "reapply."

If you had class date and was cancelled, you get letter inviting you for 2nd interview. If you passed the interview and were in pool but didn't have class date assigned, you don't. You reapply and start from scratch. Although you were competitive enough to get called once, you hopefully will get call in near future. Reapply and update quarterly.

Not accurate. I passed the interview and was waiting on a class date when classes got cancelled and furloughs happened. I got an email for a second chance...

To verify, did any UAL poolies that did NOT have a class date assigned in 2008 get an email recently for a CAL class? And some UAL poolies did get an email recently for CAL class? Assume the UAL guys that got the CAL class email had class dates scheduled for UAL in 2008.

I was UAL 2008 hire but no class. I have received no email or letter. Updated all airlineapps info. There is no place to explain a prior United interview in Airlineapps. Also thoroughly confused on what I have heard was told to UAL and CAL employees about poolies and what is going on now. If anyone has talked to CV or MC about what is going on - please share.... It is much appreciated.
