Look at the bright side of no JCBA
Seems to me that if these negotiations drag on for months/years and we follow the USAirways model of operating 2 separate airlines, UCH would be very limited in it's use of 70 seat RJ's. Most UCH growth is coming from the CAL side where scope is limited to 50 seat RJ's (and big turboprops). Meanwhile mainline UAL's fleet is shrinking and any UAX 70 seat RJ's are based on a ratio to UAL mainline. See what I'm getting at? Okay, it's a stretch, but it's something! Sadly, any future TA would likely contain worse scope than what we have now.

There might be something to prevent that scenario, but I doubt it. Look at it this way, if it gets to the point where they keep us separate, we have more to be concerned about than rjs.
