Wasn't the 2007/2008 "hiring" just repatriating furloughees or were there actual new hires?

Haha, now this also sounds familiar to me with the son pilot thing.

Does she commute from, if I remember, PHX?

If so, small world again...I was a jumpseater on MEL-SYD a couple years ago.

After the last furloughees were recalled in mid-2007 a couple hundred pilots were hired off the street in 2007-2008.

I was a mentor in the United Sons/Daughters program. I hope it comes out of dormancy. I can give some guidance for those who have someone looking to see how to prep.
