Tried to PM you, but you've got the uber security setup in effect. I'm in Leesburg as well. Greenway. Not a bad place to hang your hat. I'm a May '01 UAL hire who went Mil leave during the first recall. I just retired from the military and have had zero luck trying to land a real job, so it's off to l-CAL I go.

Fred, I think you need a certain number of posts before you can PM and mattc doesn't have enough. I think it is ten.

I guess I need to keep replying on this thread until I get the minimum ten posts so I can PM you Fred. We should grab a cold one sometime.

Gainesville here. Driving 4 1/2 hours each way to EWR 4 times a month to sit reserve. Living the dream after 12 years! But hey you guys should be able to do the trip in just over 4 from Leesburg.

Sucks to be sure, but it's only temporary. We should start a club for displaced Northern VA UAL pilots...

Can us Annapolis pilots be in the club, too? I think IAD will be a 737 base soon...I'm not looking forward to the 3 hour drive to EWR. I don't even like the drive to IAD. How about we make BWI a 737 base??

Ohhh...I don't know 'bout that. You might try to put some of us southerners back in chains. Sorry, I couldn't resist the current events connection. Heck yeah you can join the refugee camp. Has anyone made it to a C11 gathering yet? I've intended to, but never actually turned the car that way. As far as BWI, we'd need to ensure the reserve callout allowed us to sit at home rather than orbiting on 695.

Springfield, VA UAL Dec '00 hire. Back on AD since December of '01. I've got over 22 years and am looking for an opportunity to retire, but Smisek seems to want me to serve my country until as long as possible

Yeah, I went back active in Mar 02. However, my latest job kept me geographically separated from the family, so my BS meter pegged and I hung up the spurs. I haven't touched a plane in over 7 years, so I may be in Houston for a while while they re-explain Bernoulli to me.
