Possible T/A for MEC Review??
#241
Exactly. I'm twice furloughed. What will I get (and others like me) for making the ultimate sacrifice twice. Got nothing last time. The senior guys look after themselves.
Will they throw us under the bus and say we have to pay our dues again?
I want my share of that fund.
I want longevity pay.
I want no training freeze when I come back. Already been on one for over 5 years locked on the lowest paying equipment and worst schedule.
I want to keep my recall rights for 10 years.
I want to keep my travel benefits.
I want to vote on this as well!!

Scope is closed. Definitions, a completely different section, is open.
That's where they try to determine what the definition of "is" is.

We give them an inch and then brag that we didn't give them a mile. We gave them 70 additional 90 seat jets fake limited to 76 (just barely below what they would like them to be limited to anyway) without forcing them to have to give up the same number of 70 seaters while at the same time enabling them to get out from under multi billion dollar bad management sub prime peak real estate bubble prices on obselete 50 seaters.
They just got to up the number in the large RJ fleet. Now they will have a much larger "armada" of DC-9-10 replacement jets for next time when they will move to up the seat count while keeping the number in the fleet the same. Then the time after that they will want more while keeping the seat count the same. If we don't give it to them, they will threaten to buy someone with million year leases for more lift and squeal how they can't afford to get out of the contracts and it will bankrupt us if we don't raise the "hard cap". Book it.

2 dozen "ALPA" lawyers who got their law degree from the University of Nigeria online campus.

Was it an LEC resolution that passed, and MEC resolution that passed, or was there an actual amendment to the CAL MEC Policy Manual that delineates the change you are talking about?
It might be an interesting concept to employ at other ALPA units.

I think you are remiss in the estimation of the quality of the firm's attorneys.
