The Chinese are currently working on a large T-Prop with a fuselage significantly wider than the current gen Dash. More like a Convair or Electra with 100+ Seats. We need to own that class of plane should it ever end up in UAL paint.

James isn't afraid of props.

CAL's current "POS" CBA does allow Q-400 T-Prop outsourced feed, exceeding >70 seats.

Just FYI & clarification.
Only up to FAA certified 79 seats for t-prop, and then no max hull number or ratios with mainline acft. Caps did exist on 274 small jets vs mainline (348) acft.

Did you hear the one about the kid in a room who was thrilled to be digging through horse manure piled 3/4 of the way to the ceiling. He said with all this crap there has to be a pony in here somewhere.

Doubt it since timeline Pierce mentions would have most of the currently scheduled classes having started by mid-4th qtr. Quote from Bloomberg 8/3 article:
"Finalizing formal contract language and approval by union leaders and then members should be complete by the mid-fourth quarter, Jay Pierce, chairman of the ALPA unit at Continental, said in an interview."

Also, the lead time to get paperwork and checks done are getting beyond the change point.
Since there is a resolution out for membership to see the TA prior to the MEC vote, Jay seems to have his timeline wrong... Anyone else hear this?

The resolution isn't just out. It was approved 9-0 by the MEC in 2010. The pilots are to see the TA at least 14 days prior to the MEC vote in order to give us time to read it and provide our reps with feedback. We need to hold their feet to the fire and ensure they don't try to get out of this requirement that they placed on themselves.

They need to pass it in order to see what is in the agreement.
