UNITED Daily - AKA "UCH's Propaganda Spin-Machine" didn't mention the "STRIKE VOTE", but they were quick to point this out!!

United announces tentative agreement with Continental Micronesia flight attendants

We announced Tuesday that we reached a tentative agreement with the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) covering flight attendants from our Continental Micronesia (CMI) subsidiary.

The agreement extends the current collective bargaining agreement through December 2014. Flight attendants will vote on the agreement in the coming weeks.

"We appreciate the leadership exhibited by the CMI AFA Master Executive Council President Suzanne Hendricks and her negotiating committee," said Inflight SVP Sam Risoli. "With this agreement in place, our CMI flight attendants will receive improved pay and benefits while we move forward to focus on a single contract that is sustainable and rewards our employees for their hard work.”

Flight attendants from our UA subsidiary ratified a new four-year contract in February 2012, and flight attendants from our CO subsidiary ratified an extension of their collective bargaining agreement last week.

Good luck guys and stay strong. I'm a fellow Guard/Airline pilot (not with UAL, but have bros in my squadron who are), and look forward to hearing about this and watching it in the news. Sure hope Smisek realizes his shortcomings.

I am on MIL leave and couldn't vote. I wondered if I was in the 6% or not since those on leave of absences are still on the seniority list. Thanks for voting yes for us.

Just want to say good luck and all the best to everyone. My dad is IAH 756 and he called me right away when votes came out..

Unlike '83-86, this battle can be won.

I'd like to see a new union bag tag for certain individuals mentioned in the strike vote results. Distribute it as appropriate. It would say:

"I AM the 1%!"

Let them proudly proclaim their NO vote for all of us to see.

Heard 99% said YES. Not sure what the participation level was though...

The 94% participation is counting from the total number of eligible voters. I don't think you are reflected in the remaining 6% since in your circumstance you couldn't (not eligible) vote.
