Default Pax Stuck in PVG for Three Days

Stranded in Shanghai: Passengers endure 3-day ordeal trying to fly from China to Newark | NJ.com

At the end of the article:

"The tortuous affair finally ended Saturday, when the group landed in Newark more than 72 hours after they were scheduled to arrive.

"We’re just all exhausted," Borowka said. "I’ve been going to China since 1988, I’ve never experienced anything close to this. It was like being in an alternate universe.""

My friend had a ticket to DC through EWR yesterday. United put them on Amtrack! This place sucks.

At the peak of the transatlantic fuel stop season, our premium passengers were being protected on the Air Fance Paris-Dulles flight. ( A380).

15 years ago I left America West. The place was complete nightmare of confusion, managerial incompetence, lack of leadership, and every single trip was a comedy of errors which would make your life as crew member a living HE!!....

Since the merge and since the good ole boys have taken the reins this pace is exactly the same.

I got in from SFO last night on a DH that was the last leg of a 4 day at 0230 scheduled in at 2223. Last week I got in at 0145 on a scheduled 2100 arrival. Both of these are after flying 4 day trips with nasty all nighter legs in them.

Getting home and walking through your door at 0400 in the morning after a 4 day trip is so refreshing. This place does truly SUCKKKKKK! Thanks Jeff for doing all you do.

According to one news report this morning, the pax barricaded the gate when another plane was about to board passengers. They said that airplane should belong to them, after waiting three days in China. Can't really blame them.

Mutiny on the Bounty.

Anyone hear any details about the generator problem and the resulting maintenance action?
