Hear that loud & clear. The fights on...been on...and will continue to be on till the UNITED-JCBA gets inked. Speaking strictly on our JCBA concerns...I am a firm believer that SCOPE (on ALL FRONTs) is the paramount, if not, the prime focus as a major cornerstone in any agreement produced.
No other present day Legacy can honestly say they've felt the direct scorn as a result of, "lack of SCOPE", than our combine Pilot Group.....Hands down, numbers talk, and that's a fact.

Now is not the time to be a bunch of pillow biters and accept the belief that all contracts need be the same. If dal wants to outsource more 70 flying then let them have it. United pilots need to fly these planes.
What would have happened in 1985 if we had said the B scale was the industry standard and we must go along. This debacle has to got to stop and I for one am sick and damn tired of kneeling.

^^Amen, brother.
Count me in the category of "Skeptical" of DAL's TA. Not sure if it is good or bad, but when a pilot group is this vehemently divided over it, I see it as having major holes; exploitable by corporate robber-barrons.
Show me a UCH TA where the pilot group overwhelmingly says "YES!," and I'll be happy.

You might be tempted to just dismiss this as yet another sarcastic post here from the jaded Bligh, but I just had a moment of clarity, a true enlightenment even call it an elucidation. Like that finger of God touching humanity captured by Michelangelo in his "The Creation of Adam" fresco of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, or that white light flashing nano second of time when your heart stops during a sneeze, "Why didn't I think of this before?"
If we sign a deal with no/few work rules and low enough pay rates maybe UCH can sell itself to DAL as the number one choice of outsource partners?!!!!! THAT WAY THEY DON'T HAVE TO MANAGE ANYTHING!!!
We can then get all of the furloughed people back on the property ASAP and fight over SLI and more important things like the value of years of service vs. career expectation. This is so brilliant!
Now for the serious part: FUPM and release me. Quite sure I'll be joining the 38% of DAL pilots that voted "NO" once UCH presents their "straddle offer".

This has got to get Wall Street's attention. Delta merged less than four years ago and is on their second post-merger contract, this one six months before the amenable date. UAL is now in third year post merger and is 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 years past the pilot amenable dates with zero pilot contracts and getting media exposure that talks about a strike and worst US airline.

There are the "Bill Lumberg's" of the world who say that CAL's SCOPE is porous in allowing >70 seats by way of the Colgan (soon to be Repubilic) TP's. His only argument is that the 737-500 flying outta EWR has been "hit". He fails to mention that the -500 fleet still remains at 20+, and it's ratio of decline in fleet wide numbers compared to that of reductions during the Q-400 tenure is NO WHERE in the area code of his argument/claims/dooms day hyperboles.
Either way "Father", your correct in saying just b/c another Legacy chooses to usher in a CBA allowing an increase in outsourced >70 seat flying (smoke-n-mirrors with caps/ratios), we sure as heck don't need to bow in doing the same. If Jeff & Fred want those RJ types/numbers, have at it, but mainline pilots fly the metal.
