Don't have the definitive answer, but looking at history....

In the late Summer of 1998, NWA Pilot's went on Strike. Mesaba, NWA's feed, conducted a "sympathy strike" and did not fly/operate revenue during the NWA Strike.

With Express Jet (intertwined with ASA-ALPA /SkyWest-nonunion) being ALPA, cannot say for certain what would happen with the United Feed, especially when some UAL feed is ALPA as well (IE-XJT)??

Stay tuned if/when it gets that far. If we come to that bridge, I'm sure "Struck Work" will be defined loud and clear by the Union at that time.

What he said, both the CAL and UAL MEC will clarify the definition of struck work (will be the same) well before a strike is called.

Thanks. I for one do not want to betray my ALPA brothers and sisters. I'll stay tuned for more...

Does the NMB have any timeframe for responding to the release requests? Or can they just drag their feet just like everyone else in this process?

First, it scares me that you even ask this question. No union member HAS TO CROSS ANOTHERS PICKET LINE! You guys join ALPA for what? YOU work under UNICAL's logo,
therefore you honor and JOIN the picket line.

Not remembering the 'particulars', as I said before, I didn't have the definitive answers on the OP's question.....

As far as Mesaba ceasing ALL operations during the NWA Strike, that's not exactly accurate. There were some ALPA approved/sanctioned Avro 85's that flew 'non-scheduled/non-rev' MSP-DTW/DTW-MSP segments during the lock-out.

I recall the non/sked non/rev segements. I didn't say they ceased ALL operations, but was referencing your quote Mesaba, NWA's feed, conducted a "sympathy strike" and did not fly/operate revenue during the NWA Strike.

Just a thought, logically thinking here, shouldn't all scabs be 100% in favor of a strike. Without a strike, a scab can't **** his co-workers, and reveal the true nature of the ***** that comprises the fiber of his being. The scab vote SHOULD be 100% in favor of a strike.
