+1

The actors change--IACP, ALPA, different reps--but they can go no further than the membership itself supports. There's no comeback to the company mantra, "the numbers don't show a problem" when people fly on their days off tp pick up the slack.

Default Update @ 19:00EST on 06/29 from SPSC Chairman

Guys and gals,

Some of you may have seen a forum post about a letter signed by Heppner stating that negotiations have failed. This was the cover letter to be released in the "snail mail" packet sent to all the homes. It did not envision the increased dedication to bargaining that is presently transpiring. The Company, ALPA and the NMB are still negotiating. They are going so hard no one has been able to break free to tell the pilots. Consider this your being told. I do not how long they will continue into the night or if/when they will continue tomorrow. Rumors say they will but I am pledged to dispell rumors and stay with facts. So here is a known fact-negotiations are continuing. Disregard all other information. If the negotiations break down or stall Heppner will tell us. If they are successful, Heppner will tell us. These things take time to disseminate. Deal with facts. Remember, if you don't know, you DON'T KNOW. That is acceptable. You guys are doing great, keep it up. We are trying to fix the ALPA National IT problems with the servers and the support functions. we are also trying to get the voting/balloting banner easier to locate and use.

Stay Strong!!

The following is a message from United MEC Chairman Captain Jay Heppner and Continental MEC Chairman Captain Jay Pierce.

This week, the JNC continues to meet with management under the supervision of NMB Chairman Puchala in attempts to come to terms on an agreement in principle for the JCBA. After lengthy deliberations and extended, bargaining sessions, we do not yet have a deal, but we are making a big push that warrants continuing talks through tonight in hopes of completion. The work is difficult and there remain significant issues on which we are far apart, but the parties and the NMB believe additional bargaining would be beneficial. There are, of course, no guarantees of a deal. We will provide an additional update tomorrow.

Captain Jay Heppner

Chairman, United MEC
Captain Jay Pierce

Chairman, Continental MEC

What? You don't believe their commitment for a fast-track contract in 2010?

What year was it that smisek said we'd have a deal done by October?

He lies just as much as tilton, but with a smoother ivy league style. He is so enamored with his visage in the mirror that he thinks he can say and do anything he wants. He is a pathological liar and a horrible leader. The airline has turned to crap.

I will never allow him to erase my United "culture" and will fight his attempts at Stepfordization till the day I retire. KMA Jeff.

Ah.....The words that Gordon coined, the "coat-tails" that Larry surfed, and now the two words that JEFF has single handedly deplored.

Carry on.
