Default NMB Release Decision Timeline

Is there a statutory deadline for the NMB to decide when and if to release UAL to the "cooling off" period??? Or can they just "Sit" on the request?

Thanks!

what request is that? To date no request has been made, to include the press release the other day.

Soooo! The thread "release formally requested" is inaccurate? What about the UAL-ALPA released messages? Ok, I will play your game! Once the request for release has been made... How long does the NMB have to act/decide?

No formal time-line per NMB rules.

Problem is, the MEC's have no power to ask. IT has to come from National. Only Lee Moak can ask for it (formally). He has not done so as of today.

The UAL MEC made a formal request via a press release.... That's like me making a formal request to order a quarter pounder, but while at burger king. They ain't gonna forward my order bro.

NMB will profer arbitration. If both sides refuse then the 30 day cooling off period would begin.

No matter what. remember this. The NMB process is designed to reach a deal, not an empasse. Those are rare birds. I promise you the NMB will do everything in its power NOT to release us. I have personally spoken to 2 members on the NMB in another world/life. That's the way it is.

Just to be clear....

yes, thread title is inaccurate. CBL states only ALPA National President can do this.

The UAL-ALPA released messages carry the same weight as stock tips from Fred Flinstone.

Preparing my decertification motion if Moak doesn't sign it.

Not hardly einstein.

I am just telling you the nuts and bolts truth.

I don't do 4 day trips. Ours at CAL are too "un-productive." It's like giving the company an extra day of your life for free.

I could tell you something else if you like. I could tell you...hey, it's all good. The NMB loved the press release, ALPA national doesn't need to sign it, and we'll be released by July 4th (that's a great time to get released by the way).

Too many times things get sugar coated and it gives people warm fuzzy feelings inside.

Why not figure out a way to get both MEC's on the same page, and both MC's on the same page................THEN and only THEN will you have leverage on Lee Moak.

I tried to get a simple answer and all I get from you is condecention, sarcasm, and the like... I have been involved in 2 negotiating cycles... Never to this stage of possible release. I am sorry for you being a sarcastic *********... while were talking and your answering my questions... How many ex-wives do you have... or were they all smart enough not to marry you in the first place.
