Default Scabs

Wow. Just got the CAL list emailed to me complete with pics! What a concept, names AND pics. 23 pages with 33 per page (23 on the last page). That's 749!! Isn't that about 15% of the pilot group?? Damn. We have app. 135 over here, or < 2%. This list will come in handy someday when/if we ever get an ISL. What a bunch of losers.

A lot of them are gone, but it is a great list. Nearly 2000 scabs over a 3 year strike at CAL, over 500 at UA in one month.

Yeap. And some of those 2000 left CAL and came here to scab....CAL double scabs. Their familes must be proud. Good to hear that a lot of those guys are gone.

Ha! We have those "Super Scabs" here too. One even scabbed Patco before coming here... Last name is Banas, so the running joke on a bathroom stall in EWR says that Scab stands for Sure Can Ask Banas. Or Standard Continental Airlines Briefing.

Unfortunately, a bunch of the UAL scabs were ex-Continental. Not sure of the exact # but they're all documented on a master scab list somewhere.

sat in the jumpseat of CAL and had a scab Captain. Guy thought he was gods gift to earth, and broke every reg on earth. Joked about how he was a giant regional captain. Was about 50 and hired in 85. Spent the entire 4 hour flight talking.

And they were all forgiven by ALPA. Except for the EAL scabs we inherited in '97, they werent needed as pawns to get another airline back into the ALPA fold and weren't forgiven.

It's even better when "Capt Jack" (referred to above) tells ATC on the radio that he worked as a controller during those above mentioned years, during the strike!!......True story, was there to witness it in all it's splendor.

An absolute true "T-Bag".....just incase you reading Jack

FYI....The list starts (upper left corner on page 1) with the 'youngest' SCAB, or last to retire (05/2028)

The scabs should get battle stars too.

But, they would be required to paint theirs pink and the stars should be below the wings instead of above them. This way they can more readilly identified.
