CAL union agrees to release initiative

Lee,
We can disagree and not be ass xxxxs. Appreciate your tone and i will reciprocate in- kind. The mid June timeline and agreement to complete a TA was in last weeks MEC weekly position report to CAL pilots. The first paragraph discusses the agreement and timeline and players in the room. It was also reiterated during a pilot conference call just two days ago..so that's what our side is getting. I talked today with 2 reps and they confirmed the agreements.
That said, I'm sure the truth about all that was agreed too or not is somewhere in the middle. I just can't understand why JH did not coordinate with our side? Have you guys gotten any insight from your reps.

I agree. No need to be adversarial just because there are disagreements. All should know the true enemy....and differences aside....it isn't the majority of your fellow pilots on either side of the process! There of course will always be exceptions to that statement.
I found the recent CAL update on another forum and the meeting "minutes" you mentioned as well. That was the first time I had seen that date mentioned.
I can't speak to the cause for the UAL MC's (and I would assume in coordination with the UALMEC) move on this matter nor why there was no coordination.
I can say that I think requesting release is the right move given the timeline to date.
I can also say I don't like the lack of a unified approach as it undermines the actual affect of such a request IMO.
The reality is, whatever happens, even though I ASSume that UCH was there when the 15 June date was targeted along with the NMB, that it won't happen by that date. My personal prediction. Perhaps I'm wrong.
Frats,
Lee
