There was a hearing about all this some CAL ALPA guys were mad about how JP got his number back and as far as I know is the only guy that got it back in the original position from his Britt days. All the other special circumstance pilots that got a number back or a number they never had in the first place were adjusted down the list in some fashion. JP got a windfall. This was all brought up in a hearing that I don't know the details of but it happened when J Prater became ALPA national head and the hearing never publicly came to an end.

The management backers of JP will tell you he was activated and passed over since he was an assets that CALEX couldn't afford to lose. Problem is that is revisionist history on terminology that activating and passing term started in mid 97 to keep guys in important positions( i.e. jet training capt) from going to CAL leaving no one to teach at Express. I ve heard this excuse used for JP except his first pass would have been in the 92-93 time frame when guys went up for the CAL Lite expansion(many got furloughed back after that didn't work out) . His second pass would have happened in 96 ish. Ornstein left in 95ish and then Siegle came to replace him for spinoff planning to make Express jet. I can't remember JP exact title it was something like VP of flight ops under both guys.

Default Jay Pierce History Timeline

Lerxst, DocW, 30West, and others:

I've been lurking on the sidelines regarding Pierce. I've seen guys screaming he's the Robot-Devil, or the other side who say he's better than a pair of new socks fresh from the dryer.

You guys seem to have the details of his history and resume. But your discussions leave me a little in the dark---it all makes sense to someone with familiarity who was there, but I'm an outsider. A lot of the names mentioned mean little to me (such as Orenstein---I thought that was the mega-church guy who says God wants you to be rich, by sending him [Orenstein] money).

Can you guys post a verifiable timeline/resume? Year, Company, position, equipment, special duties (such as Check Airman), Union Work (or whether he was Management and NOT Union), who he reported to, company president, etc?

I think it might be useful to BOTH sides of this merger. Thanks---hoping to see something soon that clarifies this for me.

That's Joel OSTEEN. Completely different person than Jonathan Ornstein.

I've made it a point to read several of your posts. There is a clear pattern of stupidity. I would say you are lucky to be as far along as you are. Self made is out of the question. My guess is that you have a rich Mommy and Daddy or is the son of a CAL pilot. What in the hell were pilot interviewers thinking when hiring this twit? I wonder if accident actuary tables take into consideration the "Dolt Factor?" Can you imagine this piece of work at the controls of a jetliner? I would bet you that he gets into quite a few arguments with the people he flies with. I would also bet he has a "No Fly" list a mile long. Watch him self detonate now.

I've made it a point to try and read some several of your posts and I wonder if you have a personal issue with Pierce outside of work. I don't lend too much credibility to anonymous posters whose entire objective is to bash another pilot. The politics at CAL ALPA run hard and deep and seem to be emotional and personal. I don't know what your grief is with Pierce (your real grief) but you are doing a disservice to ALL CAL pilots by running a smear campaign on a public forum. If you have serious issues that you would like addressed, please take it to the LEC and MEC meetings, run for LEC rep, etc., etc. If your issues are valid and explained thoroughly then you should have no problem getting the pilots group behind your cause (whatever that may be).

Oh vinnie, was all that necessary? Just because your tired, worn out, unsubstantiated, rhetorical, and positively uninspiring and verbose rants are not getting the response you had hoped for doesn't mean it's okay to attack your brothers and sisters.

Naw....No detonation here.

One things for sure, as evidence of your multiple diatribes over the last few weeks, you best get back on your Meds ASAP. If not, I fear that you too may experience a rockstar styled melt down complete with the Bi-Polar PA rant laced with true vigor/gusto......Just as that Flight Attendant in the recent news experienced.

As usual, your diatribe carried SEVERAL errors, and misplaced "facts". I honestly loved your rant!! It truly puts on display what a complete/utter wack-job you are. As several others have pointed out, you obviously eat off the same "tard sandwich" as Ringel, Scotto, and the rest of their happy tribe.

Keep smiling sunshine, you & Ringel are special!! Maybe he'll let you star in his next self-righteous YouTube video....Complete with "HEY, look at me" as I hangout the window of my B757

Please cue your retort....COMPLETE with at least ONE "your stupid" in it. That's my favorite, as it's found in most of your posts!!!

Finally! Thank you for proving what we LCAL pilots know and most LUAL pilots on this website could only assume. Vince and John.......kinda like kibbles and bits.

Default Admin Note

I posted the following in another thread in this sub-forum, but it applies equally here. Thanks to all for the collective display of restraint and answering an post meant to incite with facts and reasoning. Deconstructing flame bait in this manor is the best form of community moderation, and I thank you for that.

ADMIN NOTE:

The forum Terms of Service (TOS) allow us to "remove any post for any reason" although we attempt to provide a venue to allow controversial and unpopular opinions to be shared.

There are some threads that clearly shouldn't be public and are removed without question (SSI, for example). Others are more subjective and moderators are many times asked to become referees in an opinion war.

This thread, despite the decidedly controversial tact in the original post, was a ray of hope for me as an admin. Instead of watching users going down the zero sum path of answering a colorful opinion with flames. Users diffused the assertions with facts in a (mostly) lucid, responsible, and credible manor. Its a breath of fresh air, thank you.

APC as a community, will stand of fall on the ability of users to post rational responses in the face of....um, passionate, diatribes. THAT, is the ultimate form of moderation.

Thanks
