Just for the record we're not talking about any kind of parity here. UAL had asked for CAL pay rates after March in perpetuity when we asked for a one-time crappy little PS check. Unless you expect a JCBA shortly after March, the net payout of CAL pay rates for UAL pilots would far outstrip profit sharing for CAL. I have zero expectations of seeing a satisfactory JCBA completed anytime in the near future - particularly now. I am NOT happy that Pierce negotiated anything for profit sharing, particularly when I heard him publicly state that he wouldn't. But UAL is no less guilty of negotiating outside of the JCBA and it seems exceptionally hypocritical of UAL pilots to call CAL pilots "backstabbers" and the like when UAL negotiated just as far outside the JCBA and status quo as CAL - probably even more. It just didn't produce any results.

Yeah.....that dreamy $1/hr raise as a 777 F/O is going to outrun that $40 million in profit sharing in no time flat!

For all those JM Winners coupled with the ICA's with PHAT - "Yes sir, can I fly another" triple digit hourly pay banks.......Yeah you right, they'll have it in "No Time Flat".

That's b/c those who choose to 'work the system' are conveniently blocking their schedules from being viewed huh??

But you already knew that.

I guess you know everything but at ual it doesn't matter if it is blocked as the trip will show on the open time that it was junior manned as far as coverage and then you pull up the id and son of a gun there is the name.

Like I said I have not seen much junior manning here at ual in a while, and yes it is easy to see who does but hey you already knew that didn't you.

There are many people that work the system in many different ways but I have not seen that much jrm at ual, sounds a lot different at cal but hey you already knew that didn't you.

"The Four-Way Test is the cornerstone of all action. It has been for years, and it will be in the future. Of the things we think, say or do
  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The test is one of the hallmarks of Rotary. Since it was developed in 1932 by Herbert J. Taylor, who later became RI president, it has never ceased to be relevant. Its four brief questions are not based on culture or religion. Instead, they are a simple checklist for ethical behavior. They transcend generations and national borders."

This simple litmus test is the basis of ethical management. You be the judge. Lets turn the anger toward management for this shot and get this friggin JCBA done. I for one can still see the big picture, and realize the significant opportunities available to us as a whole. If this little shot drives us to civil war it won't benefit anyone in the long run. There are major industry pressures coming in the near future that we need to be ready to capitalize on. My 2 cents from the furloughed seats.

Possibly not, but that $7-8/hr FO and $10-13/hr CA difference on the hundreds of UAL Airbus & 757s would sure catch up to that quick.

One of the newest saviors is a Former UAL Whale driver who recently took a 'newhire' recall to the 'Guppy'. Guess he's just a typical CAL pilot, always looking out for himself...
