There were lots of promises made that didn't happen. The transportation was unreliable, the Internet was hit or miss, and lots of bugs and ants. We were told there would be chairs in the rooms but they were not put in. The owner put a Colgan FA in charge and he had no business being in "charge" of the place.

IAH does not have many crash pads and of those very few have transportation. So you will probably need a car there and if you do there are better crash pads then this one.

AVOID WORK is not the same as AVOID RESERVE DAYS.

You can bid for two groups of immovable days within a bid group using AVOID RESERVE DAYS. Even the union puts out advice on how to bid for weekends off using multiple AVOID RESERVE DAY statements.

I've been awarded reserve bid groups in the past with two AVOID RESERVE DAY statements (i.e. I chose my two blocks of immovable days successfully).

Obviously I meant avoid reserve days. It's essentially the same thing for a reserve. But I stand corrected on the bidding.

Still, this:

I want to travel to Houston 3 times per month.

That's all.

Reserve 737.

What's my bid?

Oh, the Fuselodge. Best time I ever had that I never want to repeat.

It's basically a Colgan apartment complex, with people actually living there it seems. If you like hanging out with a bunch of 20 year old flight attendants it's your place.

SET RESERVE LINE B
SET MAX NUMBER OF WORKBLOCKS 3

It'll try to build you three blocks of 6 days. But be warned, our PBS system is messed up..ie: if it really needed 4 work blocks because its a 31 day month or whatever your whole bid will fail.

Someone once said it's like going to McDonalds and ordering a Big Mac, except you have to order it in pieces.

AWARD BUN
AWARD MEAT
AWARD PICKLES
AWARD SAUCE

and you end up getting chicken nuggets because you forgot to specify sesame seeds on the bun.

Good luck.

Thought it went more like this:

AVOID FRIES
AVOID MCNUGGETS
AVOID SHAKE
AVOID APPLE PIE

Then hope you get the Big Mac.

Sorry for the thread drift, carry on...
"I'm only calling you because someone over my head told me to".

And you believed him ?? ??? That phrase comes from page number 1 of the FODM training (brain washing indoctrination) manual.

Next time when the FODM tells you something like that, you may want to ask him or her, WHO ??

Same "phrase" was used by a FODM wth me a couple of months ago. When I asked WHO ?? He then couldn't tell ??? Who was he protecting ?? and why ???

Don't let this individuals fool you. Just be a " Captain ".
