this is totally b*llsh*t......... My ex is a flight attendant for CAL and commutes out of BRU...........Now that UAL is flying the EWR-BRU-EWR
route, she has to pay a MASSIVE surcharge plus taxes to get to work! Incredible.............and pathetic to say the least. So much for the "working together" crap they keep spouting. Nothing like hurting your employees and making them pay to fly on their OWN AIRLINE...

No, it's not the company's responsibility, but EWR didn't say it was. His issue is with her having to pay to ride in a seat that would otherwise be empty. That is BS. No UCH employee should have to pay to ride space available on either UA or CO. That's the least the company can do for us "co-workers", IMO.

The point EWR's making is that what was once free travel is not anymore. If I remember correctly DAL instituted their new pass policy system wide for all IMMEDIATELY. No separate charge for separate airline, end of story.

He's right on target with this being complete bull**** and all you other clowns can do is throw rocks at him for mentioning a commute.

Typical behavior around this ****hole, Pilots beating up on other Pilots instead of a management team who deserves a good ass-kicking. News Flash, Jeff and friends don't give a rats ass about any of you and just love to see you bashing the wrong target.

I don't disagree, she shouldn't have to pay extra to sit in the seat if it's otherwise empty.

But expecting to commute from BRU to EWR or anywhere in the US for free is a tad ridiculous too, especially for as an FA (not even sure why they are allowed to commute really).

Fee-waived economy travel on international routes will be available across both subsidiaries when the integrated Pass Travel Program is introduced in 2012.

Ah crap. BRU = Brussels. I will hold my tongue on the wisdom of that commute.
I assumed it was a domestic commute. I didn't bother looking up the ICAO because I figured everyone doing an international commute knew the downsides.
