History has show ME that where there's smoke there's fire, especially when it comes to union politics. I'd really rather hear encouragement from both sides of the fence, rather than back-door attacks misstating that CAL pilots have earned the FAR contract they work under, as if to imply the UAL contract is better. Like the saying goes, "If we don't hang together, then surely, we shall all hang separately."

If you watch Wendy's October update video carefully, she blinks it all out in Morse code. Alternatively the message is delivered subliminally. The truth behind her allegations can easily be deciphered when you play her message back-wards. I think it's best that you follow ALPA protocol & the code of ethics and have a dialog with your rep, but let's just say that for the sake of this forum, there are allegations floating around that would be worthy of serious penalties, maybe even some prison time.

As far as the UAL vs. CAL pilot-Johnson-sized thing, that also is political. It wasn't any fun to hear about the Wall Street rally being used to point out the differences in the CAL 777's vs. the UAL 777's either.... Just try to ignore the chaff and posturing as best you can, because none of it will matter a BIT when the time finally comes to negotiate the list. Heck, at the rate things are going, that's several YEARS from even being discussed.
Cheers

What I cannot believe is that the iPad is an issue at all especially in comparison to EVERYTHING ELSE that is on our table. The contract and the integration of the airlines and seniority lists are what is important. The people upset about the IPad reminds me of the old school UAL guys demanding a control yoke in the 777 instead of a sidestick.
