Default CO Reserve & Reality

If possible, could someone please post some actual CO reserve schedules, at maybe IAH and Guam, for 737 F/Os, and then post how those same schedules actually played out?
I've heard the stories.
Not doubting anything, just looking for facts.

Not worth posting. You get 12 days off, but only 8 are hard days off. The company will roll your days off as needed. You bid for reserve times during a day, but the company can change them at their whim. They will send you on a day trip, but you'll return a week later.

I did some 777 reserve when the staffing was good. That wasn't bad. Now is a different story. I wouldn't wish CAL reserve on my worst enemy.

Through the "Flying Together" selection on the CAL CCS, we have been able to 'look' at the actual bid-packs & PBS Line awards produced on the UAL side. With that being the case, I'm sure you (assuming your UAL) can do the same with CAL's PBS awards....seeing reserve specific lines in detail. I've seen in various posts within threads on APC, some UAL guys have said they are able to see CAL's line awards??

I would say in doing so, this would be as close to 'fact' as it gets.

What does Guam reserve look like, can you bid to have all your days off as a block, or is it non-commutable? Currently I commute to Japan (with only 10 to 12 days off a month), so I'm familiar with what the long haul commute is like, just wondering how this works this for folks who don't/can't move there. Thanks for the input.

Well, to be totally honest...it SUCKS!! It SUCKS. That about sums it up. Maybe in late Aug. when the flying schedule lessens..it might just suck, not SUCK. But now in the summer with the current staffing..it SUCKS. your phone will be blowing up and you WILL work 6 or more in a row, until you come to a block of Immovable, you get 8 days of those, of which is built into two blocks..maybe 2 and 6, or 4 and 4..but that is it...the other two sets of two days off you are their *****..plain and simple..DO NOT tell your kids you will be home tomorrow..Do NOT..tell them when you are IN YOUR CAR and the phone is off..then you will not be lying to them..did I mention it SUCKS??

Tried to log in to the CAL CCS site. No id/password. Called your help desk. Was told I can't log on until I'm "on board". Yes, I'm UA.

Not sure how the UAL side works.....
But w/ the CAL Pilots, we are able to look 'through' over at the UAL Flight Ops side (seamlessly) to view the PBS awards/packs as mentioned above (IE-No seperate password needed outside our normal CCS sign-in).

If on furlough, does UAL 'lock-out' those Pilots from signing all together to your Flight Crew Website?? If that's the case, I can understand your dilemma.

This should be awesome.....I hope it's a "July Line".

If so, that will just about puts the phrase into motion, "A Picture is worth a 1000 words".
