But don't worry, unlike traditional newhires, this will not be classes of young "yes master" un represented employees, who are thrilled to finally have a job with a major. We will NOT be intimidated into doing anything that is asked of us unless it is required by the contract. Most of us will be there because we have to, not because we want to. I will be there, with Attitude intact!

I wish I had more options. Unfortunately my decision will be based on wether or not I can afford braces for my children, and keeping my housenote less than 60 days late.

I asked him the other week. He didn't look pleased at me for offering the question which he has probably heard several times. The fact he didn't score a lobbyist job in DC like Duane Worth is telling of his political touch.

Seriously. I don't even want to take this job opportunity....even though I need it. Those conditions are horrible!
Wait.....can I take it (the job offer) and then when it gets rediculously bad, tell the company to ki$$ it, and wait for UAL to recall? Because, there is no jeopardy in that! Other than being re-unemployed for a bit longer.
Maybe that will help send a message to management that we are not going to work like slaves anymore. That is such unbelievable treatment of professional pilots that have a world of responsibility on their shoulders day in and day out. We can't be treated that way. Fatigued, abused, it's just plain dangerous. How did we even get such work rules?????
It is time for change.
Mr. Mom out......

This is not about job actions or ****ing the company. It's about professionalism, PERIOD. Let those who are paid large sums of money (more than most of you pilots) do their job (manage), and stop bailing them out with irresponsible behavior. It protracts the situation by setting poor precedence (normalizing the abnormal), masks and rewards their incompetence, all the while putting your very own livelihood at risk.
True, the company will drag your a$$ to the pool but it is your responsibility drink wisely!!

Not any more. Unity seems to growing day by day. Once you guys go through training and get on the line you'll be the first among us to credibly be able to compare the two operations and cultures. No one else can say that; no one else has done this. It should be interesting.
