CAL system bid is out
201 vacancies which means 201 UAL furloughees have the option of coming to the CAL side. Vacancies are in NYC/IAH 737 and IAH 787. This should have a bit of a trickle down effect on secondary vacancies so I would anticipate as a "new hire" getting the 737 or possibly the 756.

Honey I'm coming home!!!
But seriously this kind of makes the ACP that went into recurrent telling everyone "were not hiring any ual furloughees" look a little silly.
Cautiously optimistic for now...

And now a renewed offer for vjm on the 737 in all bases.. Coincidence? Playing to the morale perhaps. Let's keep our eye on the ball.

They left a voicemail at 330am to "check in for your trip" on a day off. They were talking so fast it was obvious they were simply going down the list hoping someone, anyone, would answer. They are scrambling.

In EWR? Try system wide. I have friends all over the system on different airplanes who are getting abused on reserve. Pairing modifications reaching P, Q, R and being gone 10+ days from home.

Look at the number of retirements "projected" for this bid as well. We all know that number is a joke and will be blown out of the water quite quickly, esp. when we get a contract with retro pay and guys punch out.
