Remember though according to the company line and a certain chief/asst. chief pilot or two: THIS IS ALPA's FAULT! We supposedly tied their hands when the T&PA was developed AND AGREED TO BY THEM. Our insistence that UAL pilots be offered jobs at CAL first before hiring off the street ALLEGEDLY prevented the company from offering UAL pilots jobs at CAL and hiring earlier in the year. The company didn't want to contribute to the "confusion" of merging and SLI using the T&PA that all sides came up with together. ALPA puts such unreasonable conditions on the company's plans.

Obviously that's a crock!

I wonder if this will make the UAL training footprint longer than 8 weeks?

Should be fun training, and don't forget... the FAA comes out with their new crew/rest requirements August 8th.

Interesting that the UA "subsidiary" guys got a system wide nasty gram yesterday
from system chief pilot curt hughes to come to work if you're not sick.(we need winners)
He explained that there was a 20% spike in SL from Thurs. to Sun.........
On time zero Sat.-37%, on time :14 arrival-58%, 4% of all flights cancelled......
Hello curtis, Captain Obvious called to say that's epically more than a few more guys calling in sick for a few days.
Bring back the furloughs and FUPM

I think my United initial training was about 6 weeks, does anyone know how the Continental 8 weeks breaks down?

Agreed.
Actually in this case, I went and got the 37%/58%/4% numbers to see why all the fuss.
Very similar #'s to S2K. Proof that the "save flight ops money during negotiations" peeps don't get it.
We can save tons (K$'s/lb.'s.) with the right contract and staffing and they know it.
We don't do that while they're screwing us.

I see UAL on time at 37%.

Last I saw on CAL's DNU cool aid screen was 91%. Way to go CAL! That will bring them to their knees.

True, noticed that also. Time to move the postings from the CP's door to operational "feedback".
Also wonder if the CAL numbers are confirmed by FAA stats? (or bogus)
