Hope the Junior Manning winners have a nice Independence Day while they're out covering shortages and lining their pockets.

The short-call reserve lines are built with all the same zones (PAW) throughout the month for any given reserve line. Scheduling cannot change the zone you were awarded for the month as a short call.

Nice.

And there are scumbags lining up to take it. All in the name of "individualism". Or freedom. Or capitalism. Whatever euphemism they wish to use to justify their greed.

To the moon Alice....BAMM!

Have not been seeing guys doing it on the 777 fleet in a while, except for the lca's that have 30-50 hours in the bank and are saving the world.

KC, I snipped the rest of your post because THIS is the heart of the problem. It's not the pilots willing to pick up the time right now, it's every pilot on property who wasn't willing to lower the cap to 80.

As the joke goes, UAL's pilots have already established that they're hoars - now it's just a question of dickering over the price. For anyone on property to be offended by fellow hoars turning more tricks is sheer hilarity.

(and yes, I know the correct spelling but so does the censorship filter)

How many guys are fully strike funded for six months? I'm liquid for a year.
We need to go in like it will be the worst case, and if it's not and is better
than doom and gloom, then great. But we shouldn't start with that lighter presumption,
even if the odds favor it, because people then can't afford the odds failing.
(strike breaking by mgmt. or shutting the airline down)
My last flying before being furloughed last time was 75/76 out of IAD. A lot of pilots pulling in many more bucks than me were a busted refrigerator away from foreclosure.
I used to think that doctors were really stupid with money until I started flying at United. Hands down, pilots are financial idiots.

This is why scope will be only a pipe dream, when it comes down to it these pilots will look out for there own selfish interests. They (mgmt) will dangle the carrot and watch them all jump for it.
