Prostitution is illegal in Vegas, but not at UCAL.

Now I know why I rarely get called.

Default "here piggy-piggy-piggy".....

To all the pathetic "Winners", try not to trip all over yourselves....

If you are a B737 or B756 Captain or First Officer in IAH, EWR, CLE, or LAX who does a straight pickup of a full trip pairing from open time that originates on June 29, 2012 through July 9, 2012, who pickup will be treated as a “Voluntary Junior Manning” (VJM) event and you will be paid a minimum of 4:30/day or flight time flown, whichever is greater, at 150% of your normal hourly rate.
Please note that this offer does not apply to pairings acquired over this timeframe as a trip trade. The eligibility of “trip splits” for this program will be subject to crew scheduling approval at the time the split is executed

For the tea leaf readers this is fairly significant in that it is a 10 day offer, the longest of the year, perhaps ever. Prior ones have been much shorter indicating a denial of the staffing problem or an unwillingness to admit it. It's almost like they've given up on the charade. Next one may just be VJM for the rest of the summer. They know they're in a bind.

I believe that the newly announced VJM window also has to do with coupled "concern" regarding staffing over the upcoming Independence Holiday Week.

As far as the current staffing model, coupled with the "threatened" injunction, CAL-ALPA has had over one year to compile empirical data in which to prove the company's absolute inability to 'properly staff' an airline.

Case in point....."Let's offer VRFs to the very same BES's in which we are going to prescribe VJM's in which to band-aid the day to day ops....Brilliant".

With the Union's collection of staffing numbers over the past year, Mgt's "one trick pony" staffing model should be very telling with any type of accusations that come down the pike.

Either way, I too would not be surprised if their last-ditch lynch pin would be a summer long VJM offer. A true sign of complete, and utter desperation on Mgt's part.

Default FYI.....

"VJM WINNER" Nominees

July 5th, 2012
Flight 43 (IAH-GRU)

The Captain (EWR based Line Holder) took it upon himself to "piggy up" in order to quench his VJM desires....Outta base (IAH Trip) none-the-less!!!

The IRO, IAH based Line Holder, also took it upon himself to eat from the trough for VJM riches.

Thanks you two 'winners', much appreciated.

VJM works. That's the sad part. I guess they just don't get it.

As fast as trips opened up this weekend, they were snatched up by CAL B737 F/Os in IAH.

The United reservists had the weekend "off"....

And how do you like the new scheduling policy to begin in August? No back to back all nighters. Unless of course you're on reserve. Oh, the vast majority of whom are from UAL.

Gettin old.
