Flying 90 hours a month tends to make me ill. I think its the combination of sleep/circadian and dietary issues when on the road for long stretches. Add to that the constant low level stress that this job contains and it just wears me down. It always catches up with me no matter how many times I get pinged by AMS tracking.

Rolling calender at UAL side, 5 sick calls in a rolling year, sick calls before/after a PC or Vacation triggers the flight office to look at your use of sick list.

Just imagine if, say, a hundred guys checked that box. People who normally fly 92-93 hours a month. Seems like that might get a couple of people off the street...

Got a call this morning from a 281 area code (Houston). Since it wasn't a recognizable number, I didn't answer it. It wasn't the usual Crew Scheduling phone number, but I had to wonder if the elves are using their personal phones again in attempt to make contact with those of us lineholders who aren't working. Must not have been that important since no voicemail was left offering me the chance to make money and increase my profit sharing for February 14th.

I'm wondering if scheduling is getting creative again.
