5-B-1 Scheduling Provisions
5-B-1-a Schedules published for B747-400, B-777 and B767/757 preferencing shall contain no more than eighty- nine (89) flight credit hours. Schedules published for B737-300/500 and A320/319 preferencing shall contain no more than ninety-five (95) flight hours, and shall contain no more than three hundred eighty (380) hours time away from home base. Should the last trip in a prior month require adjustment to an awarded schedule, the adjusted schedule shall be limited to eighty-nine (89)/ninety-five (95) actual flight hours.
5-B-2 Actual Performance Limits
5-B-2-a Eighty-nine (89) actual flight hours in the B747- 400, B777 and B767-757 fleets, and ninety-five (95) actual flight hours in the B737-300/500 and A320/319 fleets shall constitute the monthly maximum, including the value of any inbound time produced by the completion of a trip sequence which originated in the prior month; unless the pilot volunteers as provided by 5-B-3, below. When a pilot is projected to exceed eighty-nine (89)/ninety-five (95) hours of actual flight time, a trip or a portion of a trip will be removed from his schedule to reduce his projected flight time to the actual monthly maximum or less, or his projection prior to departing his domicile, whichever is higher. The selection of the trip or portion of a trip to be dropped will be subject to concurrence between the pilot and the crew desk unless concurrence cannot be reached, in which case a Flight Manager will decide.
From 3-b-7-a: Further, for a B747-400, B777 or B767/ 757 pilot, any pay credit which exceeds eighty-nine (89) hours in any month shall not be paid, but shall be placed in a "bank", as provided in 3-I, below. The "bank" will not apply to a B737-300/500 or A320/319 pilot.
Notice that the A320 limits are 95 hard, others are 89 credit for line building. Actual ops are 95/89 hard.
I haven't seen any of their schedules, but I'd guess the LCAs that syd 111 mentioned build the bank by deadheading on IDs created after schedules are awarded, where the hard hour limit applies, not credit.
I'd also guess that we'd have a JCBA real quick if the LCAs would stop doing line checks and OEs.

Right on the money snake all soft time and yes I agree we would have one real quick if they thought of someone other than themselves.

Bringing up lca work brings up an interesting point. What the hell are they doing this voluntary work for in the first place? We are in a battle for custody of our flying as well as pay. I am more P/Oed about that than bank time. If they want to do volunteer work to help the company they need to come to my house and shovel out my driveway before I go to work during the next snow storm because that is the only way I'm driving to work then.

Your line will then only be built to 89/87.
Can't believe all the 90+ hour lines that are awarded monthly. Shouldn't happen when we have folks on the street.

It should also be noted that these numbers can be reduced by checking a box in PBS. I believe it's something like "Reduce Max Credit"

I know you are talking about the L-UAL side of the operation, but on the L-CAL side for the month of December I was awarded a 90-hour line w/ minimum days off. Was it really necessary to assign that 5-hour day-trip in December?????
