Thumbs down Abandon hope all ye who are furloughed here

Last week I had a trip out to Odessa, Ukraine doing some work for the USMC reserves. Loyal double furloughee that I am, I booked an itinerary that resulted in my tickets being bought to fly United; You know, to help the cause.

I traveled New York - Vienna - Odessa - Warsaw - Newark - Norfolk....and never once sat in a United Airlines mainline aircraft. It was Deathstar alliance and furlough wagons only (to include a Bombardier flown by a LOT feed...an outsourced codeshare I guess?). Our fellow pilots and crews at Austrian, LOT, Ukrainian International, and COEX all did great work; Only b!tch I have is they're doing great work that I am supposed to being doing great work....doing.

Methinks I'm never going to get outta my cubicle and back into a UAL cockpit.

I am willing to strike for scope and I'm not alone. So, don't give up all hope just yet.

Section 1/SCOPE....."Numero Uno" for me w/ all else starting a distant second and beyond.

BTW...."Missintheline", your right.....it's not just a "domestic" problem as you pointed out.

It is pathetic. I was willing to try United (even though it includes a stop in ORD) for a flight from BWI to MSP, but every flight that would work for me was either a code share or had a leg on an RJ. And I refuse to fly on an RJ. Oh well, I guess Delta will get my business.
