That was a pretty good video.

So you want to give back ship sets and start doing revisions again? I am all in favor of getting a contract but you are not reasonable in things that make YOUR job easier.

The company was/is offering LOA's. Maybe you should take some time away to see what else is out there and enjoy not coming to work for awhile.

The WHOLE purpose of the IPads is to save the company money. Do you really think that they care about making our job easier? They see it as a way to cut costs.
We don't have IPads now and the Ships Sets work just fine. Fortunately, the MEC sees it like I do and is pushing back on the IPads.
Just confirms that if Jeff put the call out for someone to clean his gutters people like you would form a line in front of his house the next day.

No I wouldn't clean Jeff's gutters. I believe the MEC is pushing back on anything they think they can because the previous MEC put us at disadvantage with their rogue techniques.

I do like to have the reference material to read and if they give me an Ipad I don't have to download the books myself on my laptop or my OWN ipad that I currently own.

Perhaps we could get you a stone tablet and a chisel.

You can stomp your feet and make a like a spoiled little girl if you wish. However, ALPA doesn't really have a say so in this issue. What section of the contract would they be violating by issuing ipads? Why don't you focus your anger on the real issue, scope and scope and more scope.

I think Wendy needs a loofah.....a good job for you I suppose....

Sounds to me like you are the one ready to soap up Wendy's back...or Jeffs. What section of the contract says that we have to be responsible for a $600.00 IPad? Keep bending over and helping.

What section says you are responsible for a 40 million dollar airplane? If you lost your flight bag with all your personal items I bet you would scream bloody murder. In fact I bet if you lost your own personal laptop on a layover you would want UA to pay for it.

Here is some harsh reality for you. The company holds more cards than ALPA. They can do a lot of things that you don't like that are not contractual. As you are finding out the CAL mgmnt team doesn't coddle their pilots. As a result I believe the CAL pilots have bigger stones than the girlie men we have crying about iPads. You need a pad, just not an iPad. The CAL pilots held strong on scope while we had mec chairmen making deals for themselves to give carte Blanche on RJ's. UA used to have men of honor and integrity. Instead now we have a bunch of gene pool diluted cry babies.

Why don't you call the grievance team and see where you stand contractually on the iPad issue versus your keyboard bravado. Some education and reality might be of some use in defusing your irrational attitude.

Before you besmirch the entire pilot group there lambourne, lets not forget the the whole fu*king 70 seat RJ issue was a 100% give away by ONE MAN, as was first class deadead and who knows what else.

The line pukes who "have no stones" had no say in the matter. Lets not forget that for a short while we had one of the most desired contracts in the industry. We had the stones to blow the Delta Dot off the map. Remember that? Pre 9/11, pre dot com bubble bust, pre SARS. etc etc etc.

How much of Uniteds bed was made by inept, corrupt (as made clear by Frontline... Changing World - Exploring The New Corporate Bankruptcy Strategy | Can You Afford To Retire? | FRONTLINE | PBS) and feckless management?? What is with you and your pro management, F the line pilot mentality anyway?

A guy is rightfully ****ed off at our predicament and your suggestion is to go and find another job. You sound just like Glenn Tilton.

Don't worry, if you're not up for it another girlie man pilot will be happy to carry your sign when the time comes.

Pilots like lambourne are the problem. Maybe Jeff's office boy found his way here?

That one man; Paul Whiteford, did a lot more than just RJ's. Also, where is the accountability towards him? I still see guys in ops yucking it up with him and lets not forget him and his association with other MEC Chairmen and deadbeats from this little action:

FindACase™ | Mansfield v. Air Line Pilots Association International

JOHN P. MANSFIELD, JR., MICHAEL W. BALLARD, JERRY H. GALLUD, MICHAEL GLAWE, DENNIS HOLMAN, RICHARD E. MILLER, JR., AND PAUL W. WHITEFORD, JR., INDIVIDUALLY AND ON BEHALF OF ALL OTHERS SIMILARLY SITUATED, PLAINTIFFS,
v.
AIR LINE PILOTS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL, DEFENDANT.
UNITED AIRLINES, INC., INTERVENOR.

I said we USED to have some great leaders. Today we have turned into the group of whiners that have cried wolf over so much that no one pays attention to us. Our professional and leadership savvy group is no longer around, retired or given up to the ALPA bickering. When you have guys like Barton, Swindells and others running agendas versus a union you get the crappy outcome we are living with.

Don't forget it was the brilliant leadership of Wallach that produced the lawsuit and restraining order. Read the transcript and Wallach admits he lied to the pilot group on several occasions to make the company look bad. Wallach was warned and he "pressed to test" the company and his gamble put us in a deep hole. In effect Wallach HELPED the company with his arrogance and ineptitude.

I'm not pro-management or pro-union. Not sure if you have been keeping score but the screwing meter is pretty even on both sides. Have you not moved as a result of Age 65? Thank ALPA not the company for that one.

A guy is rightfully ****ed off at our predicament and your suggestion is to go and find another job. You sound just like Glenn Tilton.
Rightfully ticked is okay if you are ticked at the right people and reasons. Just being angry and b-ing about everything is just creating background noise and no one takes you seriously. Get angry at the right issues, reasons and people.

Scope should be our number one issue. If we let ourselves get wound around the axle about a non-contractual issue such as an ipad we lose focus on the SCOPE. Let's keep the focus and get the contract settled.

The lack of an ALPA endorsement should not be a flag. Look at some of the ****e ALPA has sent us for endorsement in the past? Heck a Transition Agreement with an expiration date is absolutely absurd. I would like to see ALPA find the loopholes BEFORE they sign in the next contract!

I realize this is some radical thinking for you but....

So this saves the company money? Then would it not be good for ALPA to show this savings in negotiations and ask for our cut? In effect more money to the pilot group if money is saved?

Just trying to see why more money is a bad thing. But I'm sure you have an angle on that.
