I would hope not. Change is tough enough by itself.

That's a pretty all-inclusive, blanket statement. Professional, cordial, competent and safe should be the watchwords when professional, cordial, competent and safe individuals work together for the first time or later...are there expectations of less? More importantly, are there intentions of less in either pilot group? Probably a wrongly phrased question because, at that time, we will be one pilot group.
Now you somehow insinuate that we are not able to safely operate an aircraft or have intentions of less. Comments of that are ignorant at best, insulting at worst.
I definitely have the ability to smile, and safely work with anyone clinging warped views on the industry and UAL pilots. That doesn't mean that after the last flight, I can't walk away and wonder who is the one who is really “shell shocked.”
The youthful, new blood United pilots have plenty of experience safely working with those who we disagree with. That doesn't mean we have to spend time with them outside the cockpit. We don't.

If you gut an employee's (co worker's) compensation and working conditions, force them to "adapt", give them some crumbs (profit sharing), they should be happy right? It is that line of thought that plays right into the hands of management.
Now is not the time to "adapt", but remember what was taken from us under the mantra of "shared sacrifice" during the past decade.

And for those that missed one of the main points after the original video's ideas in the first post.
Point being, mgmt. will manipulate/twist/manufacture numbers to try and convince they can only
"afford" a given compensation structure. Or that it's your responsibility to "save" the company again.
Calculate the tickets sold vs. compesation structure sought and it becomes very clear they can do it.
The question is, will we stand up to achieve it? After the history, how could we not?

the offer due to UAL's supposed proximity to liquidation (which was false),
the potential forced decision by Wedoff and the potential to save our pensions.
That's why the vote went the way it did, not because people didn't want to stand up.
And that's the point. Knowing that, how could we not stand up and fight this time.
