I agree with you, but I think as airline pilots we are in a class that no one really cares about. The republicans look at us as labor, and the democrats view us as over paid white collar professionals that vote republican. Management has done a good job of turning the voting public against us by saying that a pay raise for pilots equals a bump in ticket prices. Which in turn seems to enforce the way democrats view us also. Just my opinion, and it isn't worth a cent.

Doesn't mean there isn't strength in numbers. But please, we're laborers. We are not executives.

What is concerning are the guys you run into who want it to be over
so badly that they will take a small insignificant increase just to end it.
As in the video, exactly what mgmt. is shooting for, conflict resignation and apathy.
Like the Harvard Law Professor said,
"management's job is to see how much less they can give you and still keep you here"
Whether we collectively stand up for the profession or we succumb to mgmt. tactics, we will get exactly what we deserve.
Preferably, 100% will be for the former course, however, I'm still running into some people
who don't understand that our outcome is in our collective hands.

Not trying to diagnose anybody. Just trying to emphasize that this has been a long, 33 year (1978 Airline Deregulation Act) journey for many. Some have only recently experienced what happened 30 years ago at CAL. When one adds in youthful, new blood hiring into the industry, sometimes the long-term perspective is lost.

That's a pretty broad-stroke you lay in painting the entire CAL Group as sharing "one pilot's" take.....Sweet "diagnoses" by way of your generalization.
