Wendy Morse Could Be Ousted Monday

No argument that the "94" version of ESOP was badly flawed. It failed because the union leadership that followed the founders were mostly inept. They did not understand that everyone except for the pilots were trying to kill it. Nevertheless, except for 911, you would probably have a more palatable version of ESOP now and have avoided bankruptcy.
Owning the company stock was not our goal, although the SWA guys did very well with that concept. Our goal was raw power, unfortunately, the tree huggers saw it differently, as an attempt to make a workers paradise. The ESOP failure is the prime example of a disinterested membership electing the wrong leadership.

Read the appeals court decison of Judge Bua's order. The court's will always be a part of the collective bargaining dynamics, the current ridicules TRO clearly demonstrates we have few friends in that arena.
Yes i do know the war was not over however most alpa members sure acted like it was.

The short answer, the lawyers said we would win in court ("85"), we did not. We were forced to reverse the 570 seniority to save their jobs ("87"), we did. Dubinsky extorted their rightful seniority back by refusing to fly the 400's("89").

You might not say that if you had to sit in a SFO federal court room, defending against charges of scab harassment. But, I agree, apathy increased significantly as the strikers left the property.

Ultimately, he lost his case because the judge ruled that he was being ostracized not because he was a scab but because he was a ƥʀɨɔƙ.

I was one of the "defendants" in SFO Federal Court back in '89 or so. It was quite an experience. The scab whom accused me of "harassment and intimidation" actually had made his notes on hotel note pads.
