The pilot bulletin couldn't be clearer: "As you are no doubt aware, Continental’s operation in Narita is vital to the long term health and viability of our airline. Load factors into and out of Narita continue to be high . . . "

The CAL way continues. Let the snow blow off the wings instead of getting deiced, don't add fuel or else your retirement benefits could be affected, you accept some radiation exposure so that we can make a profit.

The things they put in print are unbelievably tone deaf and can't possibly be screened by their legal department.

That's a UAL 747-400 on alert and with the current semi-merged pass riding rules, you CAL guys do understand all the UAL crews have a higher boarding priority on their own plane, right?

Yeah, but since I am too junior to fly over there the only effect it will have on me is the senior guys flying over there getting "exposure" to increased radiation. Might as well call this "The Continental Airlines Pilot Reduction Program." Who says we will need to furlough?? J/K of course

The problem with that bit of the pilot bulletin is that Continental United's own press release stated passenger traffic had dropped off noticeably after the accident. I'm sure they are pretty high leaving the area still though.
