The point I was trying to make was that if a guy is working and doesn't want those paychecks then he should take a hike. There are pilots that were furloughed that would like those paychecks and the jobs.

None, I am referring to a Lear interview and a King Air interview. The pay for both are deplorable and the medical will cost me almost 1/3 of the take home pay.

The only advantage is that they are out of an airport 15 min from my home. The regionals pay about the same, but add commuting and time away from my family... it all sucks.

You need to learn how to make your point more clearly then.

The only reason I asked was that you said the following :
"Some of the things I have been told to my face in interviews would make you cringe. I understand the above statement and it's true. $34k! If I could get that with benefits, I'd take it right now... but alas, I can't go overseas and leave my family as they have sacrificed enough for my career as it is."

Second year FO pay would get you that, plus the benies, and not overseas.
Good luck with the interviews. I'd tell you try the FAA, but we are in a "budget crunch"/'hiring freeze"...

Lambi, you've been short changed when it comes to novelty. Why does he have to take a hike? Could he not just donate it to charity? Besides he said it right. He is doing it for his family, right?

If Smisek's henchmen comes to the table asking for 15% more of your hard earned dollars (and they probably are), will you quit if the union gave it to them?? I'll ask it a different way. How much lower will you go before you quit??

It's not about wanting or not wanting the paychecks and as a furloughee, I don't need you to speak on my behalf. This profession is at anchor and collecting moss because of "take it or leave it" attitudes like yours. Maybe people should instead take a hike because they've become impediments to progress...

After becoming furloughed from mainline , then working for the ux carrier, that is the ultimate mgmnt win. You went from x amount per hour to y and hour-
Its like them getting a 50% paycur AND u make the regional a little more safer than normal.
I chose not to go to thoseregionals, i may go when i know a recall is coming for the extra sic type, then leave but otherwise... Nope

It COULD but that's not the CAL way. "Understaffed and overflown" is the fifth tenant of the Go-Forward Plan.
