Then you must think CAL's paint job is ugly b/c it is CAL paint with UNITED written on it. Nothing more, nothing less.

I really don't care what the airplane is painted like. I care about the contract and who is actually flying the plane (SCOPE).

No, they are Air Canada airplanes. Aer Lingus is one operation a day. How many +50 seat RJ's do we have operating that take significantly more jobs?

Yep. Give me the contract and I'd fly something as ugly as this without a thought.

The block letters "UNITED" make it look absolutely ridiculous. That said, I don't really like CAL's paint either - they should have gone back to the Meatball or earlier livery. I just can't stand these bland, unimaginitve paint schemes.

Along with a return to 1970's era paint, I'd like to see a return to 1970's era service, SCOPE, retirement, and compensation. That's all I'm asking for.

I would have preferred that they either stuck with UAL or CAL's pre-merger livery, like DAL did. This new paint job looks weird and confusing.

Of course, I'm sure this isn't our last paint job. One more merger and we'll probably have a completely different look with some weird sounding European name.

All in all, kinda bland except for the globe.

The Boeing Grey will be MUCH easier to maintan and will look Good for much longer without fadng. The simpliciy of the paint scheme will keep it
VERY maintainable. And I hear THIS time they Really Did use Primer instead of the risky painting method they previously used in order to save weight. I mean when you're talking about 630K Max empty weight?
What is 700 lbs??

I like the white paint just not the Golden Parachute logo.

Slightly OT:

Did anyone see "The Mechanic" lately? The ORD scene shows the Saul Bass Livery on a UAL plane, and the *very* old CO livery from the 80s, in a movie that is clearly set over two decades later.
