Just relax. Yes, we are beyond the finger pointing stage. I hope Jayson enjoys our 777's and 767's. We send them to manurewark with love. Consider it our dowry in this arranged marriage.

What Route can the CAL 777's fly that UAL's CAN'T fly??.
Since you brought it up, let's be clear & address your statement....

UAL's B777 "Hawaiian Cattle Car's" CAN'T fly certain CAL B777 routes. Look at EWR to Mumbai, Delhi, Beijing, Narita (outbound), Hong-Kong, Shanghai....ALL of those segments are over the 12 hrs flying block, thus NEEDING dedicated crew-rest/BUNKS which some of the above mentioned UAL B777's are not equiped with.

....BUT I guess you being a "SAM", you already knew about this??

How about we take an UAL 757 and a CAL 757, launch out of BCN for EWR and see which one runs out of gas first."

Actually I think he mentioned that about the cattle cars.

I was kidding. From some of CAL's pilots, EWR's lec chair, and an employee comment on skynet, there are those who uphold that belief. Believe me, I fly them enough to know they are not ratty.

Not a criticism but an observation. The wide bodies that pass thru Paris are pretty sad looking on the outside. The inside, I don't know as I haven't been on a UAL airplane in seven or eight years.

No thanks sovt I think you should keep flying your 757 over the pound and keep enjoying that coach rest break. Nice article though.

....I guess I must have "missed that" during the course of his ramblings in the statement that he, himself, 'laid-down' above.

I totally agree with you. Be it the battleship grey or the banana peel quality paint job as of late, the exteriors leave something to be desired. The interiors are in very good shape, and the mechanics of the aircraft are good as well..
