You mean VP of Labor STRATEGY, right? We no longer have "relations," we are now just a "strategy".

Captain George Fox is HEAD & SHOULDERS above all the "?" that you inquire about. He is nothing short of being a solid C.P., most say a "Pilot's Pilot". George is true class act....Next to him, no one has been closer to the 'Great Chester James' (former IAH CP).
Let's HOPE for everyone's sake that he stays....but a 'little birdy' has said that he's goine to be enjoying the 'good life' in retirement sometime in 2011....we'll see.

Already passed the over 60-mark and had his retirement flight, but alas still goes out and flies when needed or when he wants to. Probably another less than 18 month appointment.

The rest of that announcement bulletin states that the next level of appointments would probably be announced within the next few days. I take it to mean the Assistant Chief and base staff positions? I had heard the smaller bases/domiciles (i.e. CLE and LAX) will use assistant chiefs in the office with a "regional chief" as outlined above.

I worked under Mike for a while before furlough and always had respect for the guy. Even with the 2172 debacle in the Summer of 2007, nothing but Leadership and direction. The way he ran the flight office in reference to the United AMS (sick monitor) was very much pro-pilot. DENFO took heat many times from WHQ for taking care of the pilots. Nothin' but Net..

I disagree.. Captain Mike McCasky is a good choice to continue at DEN/LAX.
