Sure are making alot of assumptions of who voted for what but I like your “mature” stance since those junior guys have taken so much away from you.

I have no issues voting to allow 90 seat regionals at United. It would be selfish on our part (senior guys), but if this is how junior guys want to play, then I'm game.
I'm guessing then that you have been here awhile and the management people are junior to you in regards to DOH? This can be the only explanation for your comment since the line pilots certainly have nothing to do with any decisions on pass travel.

Who are you talking about? Junior guys haven't done anything to you, and if that's what you're thinking then you just aren't paying enough attention. They can't, as pass travel isn't in our contract. We don't negotiate it, and we most certainly don't get to vote on it. The company put out a survey, employees from all walks commented on it, and the company came up with a plan.

So, how exactly are you going to make this cost the junior pilots anything?

You should have gone at 60. Dementia is obviously setting in. Maybe the junior guys will vote a pay cut for the senior?

Your example of the senior mentality is not good for your group.

My plan was to be gone at 55. I might stay around a few more years. Pass travel is really important to me.

Just what I was thinking. Now, nobody want's to leave because of the new policy. Now, there's less room for new hire and less oppurtunity to move up for the junior guys..

So how do you get to "vote" on 90 seat RJ's? If the MEC is dumb enough to send a TA with that language to the membership the result will be the same as pass travel results. ie: the majority says no. So you are on the wrong side of the majority and your vote and your group of old pilots have no say in the result of the TA. So you can blather here but the pilots are no longer going to be bullied by the old pilots. You guys have screwed up the industry enough. The rest of us have a better ability to see the big picture versus the dinosaurs tha have caused all the career stagnation and turmoil.

Try to get the age raised or the pass policy changed and see the majority rise up and put you in tour place.

What year did you leave Skywest? Just curious as to why it is you are trying to play to the non union psyche of that pilot group on other threads YET somehow you are going to retire CAL at 55. So basically you have the nest egg to retire from CAL, but still feel qualified to lecture a Skywest pilot how good their work environment is. Basically your story has a glaring hole just like a Luv 737. Just another fake flamer. Hope you had a wonderful weekend in The Woodlands.
