Default Attention CAL commuters on XJT

FYI...your management gave us the big 'ole rubber schlong to the pooper this afternoon. They took away our vacation passes...and now we must pay prior to listing. What does this mean? It means the XJT guys that were listing for the jumpseat as a courtesy will no longer be doing so. Don't be surprised when you are bumped 20 prior to push. Just a heads up.

Thought the changes to the non-rev policy were put on hold?

So the SA-5 part is now active along with SA-3's for everybody on Express? Also, not sure what you were alluding to regarding the Jumpseat?

He's saying XJT guys won't list for flights because they have to pay up front to list for a seat in the back. Then they have to wait to get their money back if they don't get a seat in the back. So they won't list now so they dont have to go threw all this and you won't know if an XJT guy will be showing up for the flight.

Still confused. They have to pay upfront for their own airline or only on us as I thought.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they have to pay up front for any flight they list on (CAL, XJT, Colgan, CommutAir).

It's any flight we list on. We have to pay up front instead of the payroll deduct we used to have. No jumpseat threats...if that's what you're alluding to. All I'm saying is that XJT pilots used to list via coair to let other CAL pilots know they were jumpseating as a courtesy. Now that we have to pay prior to listing....we will no longer list...so you no longer have a heads up.

I apologize for being out of the loop on this. Cal management did this to xjt on their own airline?
