Flyby,

Thanks! I hope it is true as well, and the sooner the better.

As far as joining the strike ready ranks, one would be extremely hard pressed to find a bunch of pilots more eager and ready for a knock down, drag out prison rules fight with UAL than the returning UAL furloughed pilots. You can count on us.

Thanks for the encouragement, and welcome mat so many of the CAL pilots have extended to us. It will not be forgotten.

Happy New Years!

Looks like the system bid that will come out soon will bring UAL pilots(I've heard up to 400) back beginning in April or May. 787 delivery schedule out in 2-4 weeks and increased 737 utilization and the need for more 777 fo's is driving this recent change and the cancellation of the last bid before it was posted. Good news for all.

I can't wait to have you guys back....

I flew with a bunch of you guys on your last flights with the company during the summer and fall of 2008. Those were hard times for all.

I'd love for this to be anywhere approaching accurate. LAX seems plausible but has also been plausible since the Hawaii flying started and now BJX. Given CAL's track record, while 400 vacancies would be nice (still think we'd be understaffed!), I'd bet on either (0) or (100). I'd like to be wrong. I'd like to see LAX 737 CA/FO near 100 or so crews, EWR 737 CA/FO return to at least 400 seats in each, and the "hiring" of at least 400 or so of our PMUA brethren.

I think that is more likely to see more furloughs! Now we have 70 seaters flying out of the CAL hubs.

Any updates on a CAL system bid for January, or word on UAL to CAL training invites?
