This was something I was wondering about since I don't believe the transition agreement deals with this. Input anyone??

I would not worry to much about a UAL guy taking the CAL offer then going back to UAL....the pay will be the same either way and the guy/gal taking the CAL offer may desire the CAL bases over the UAL ones.

Plus why would someone want to fly the Airbus?

Yeah except that some of the guys are voluntary furloughs and held wide body captain jobs at UAL. SOOOO I'm pretty sure that they aren't going to want to stay at CAL as a JR F/O on a 737 even if they are getting Capt pay to do it as per the Transition agreement.

Once again it will be interesting to see how this all goes down.

EASY on the bus comment sonny - it is the only narrowbody that can remain aloft in 3rd world countries.....lol.

I flew a manual approach yesterday into SGN and the local captain never said a word (due to saving face) during the approach but I noticed tension in his posture. Later, after landing and seeing visable sweat on his face he confided in me that it was the first time he has ever seen the Airbus flown like that outside of the sim....hilarious. He was "senior".

I might have to keep that one in my back pocket to pull out for the special ones we have here.......lol.

I keep getting "bumped" to the Bus....flew it in 2002-2003 and again during my departure to the street in 2009.

Will be happy to fly a Boeing on the CAL side in IAH....IF it works out.

I just hope they get rid of the "freeze" for the newer pilots. I like the bus, but if I can do P.S. if I get called back (and actually go), that would be nice.
A little extra cash, without flying overseas...
